Welcome!

Rajah Gary C. Alejano

The change we seek for a better government and a better Country is everybody’s duty for the sake of the future of our children and our children’s children. However, the path towards that change is not an overnight burst of emotion but a dedicated and consistent struggle. Even if we abdicate on that duty, the future will certainly come. The question is: Do we want to be part in shaping that future? We believe that patriotic and idealistic individuals are not confined within the ranks of the MAGDALO. There are many Filipino citizens out there who share the same dreams and aspirations for our country as we do. We just have to link and bond with each other so we may become stronger and formidable against the tyrants of this nation who plunder and kill its own people. We should act and the time is now. However, we can not do it alone. We need your support and participation.

It is for this reason that we have opened our doors to all Filipino citizens to join our cause and be one with our principles and advocacies. SAMAHANG MAGDALO envisions an empowered, responsible and enlightened Filipino citizenry as a vanguard for societal change and ultimately as a main pillar of a strong democracy. By our number we become empowered, by taking to heart our Code of Conduct we become responsible, by becoming aware of issues that affect our lives we become enlightened. Let the fire in our hearts continue to burn so it will bring light to our society which is kept in darkness all through these years.

I have faith in God that He will grant the collective desire of our hearts and make us victorious in our quest for righteousness in this Country. May God bless us.

The ranks of ;Dugong Magdalo; (DM) or the Officers and Enlisted personnels who took a brave stand in Oakwood on July 2003 and the Manila Peninsula Hotel in December 2007 against Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (who according to a survey is the most corrupt President the country ever had), are proud to see the vindication of their struggle in recent days. They have proven that they are not wanting in principles. The rightness of their actions was now an accepted fact, but it cost them their military careers to have this matter brought to the attention of the people. Such was a costly undertaking.

I have this great fortune of being placed in a position where I work for, and with, a good number of people, former AFP officers and enlisted personnel and staff, men and women alike, who show genuine concern for the welfare of others and are committed to be part or be instruments of change for our country and people. The past years, I have experienced the struggle of this young organization and I have witnessed the serious efforts of each and every volunteer to make sure that this movement shall live through the birth-pains of organizing.

The success of Samahang Magdalo in terms of organizational direction can be felt now in the archipelago. This is not an overstatement. The record shows that the organization has a chapter in every region all over the country.

It is clear from the very start that the organization is geared towards meaningful social change. If change should be achieved, a fight must be mounted not exclusively outside of the system, but such must be done within the government system.
